Synopsis

While a dresser for a star actor in an aging Shakespearean repertory company during World War II is ostensibly protecting the interests of his master, who is on the edge of a nervous breakdown, by forcing the show to go on, the dresser is really protecting his own interests and his fear of being alone if the company folds.
