Synopsis

This is the story of the wives of the Tolpuddle Martyrs of 1834 whose husbands banded together to try to get a fair wage and who were then left behind to manage as best as they could when the men were savagely sentenced to seven years transportation. Easily staged the simple scenes in cottage and courtroom are linked by a singer.
